Recap

Gavin Scores 156.33, Loses Anyway, Files It Under Tradition

Noah stays perfect by 4.44 points, Ryan drops 205.67 on Alex, Nolan keeps winning while allowing more points than anyone, and Gavin learns that 156.33 is a losing score in this league.

Gavin Brings a Full Effort to a 4.44-Point Loss

Somewhere in this league's record book, Gavin's week 4 goes down as an L, and nothing about that L mentions that he scored 156.33 points. The book does not care that he outscored Ben, who won. It does not care that he put up more than Sirac, Alex and Jake. It notes that Noah scored 160.77, that the 4.44-point margin was the closest of the week, and that Gavin is now 0-4.

The bottom of the standings has become a waiting room. Gavin, Sirac and Jake are all 0-4 and all riding L4 streaks. Gavin has the best excuse of the bunch: 593.49 points this season, more than Evan, Nolan, Ben, Sirac and Jake, against 632.44 points allowed. He sits 10th, a spot he reached by sliding down from 9th in a week when he played well.

That is bad luck. With Gavin, bad luck has started to look like a house style.

A Short History, Short for a Reason

Gavin joined the league in 2023 and finished last in 2023, which is a memorable way to say hello. His career record is 14-28. His list of playoff years is still blank, which puts him alongside Sirac, who joined in 2025 and has an excuse.

His career luck is -1.91, so the schedule has been a little rude, though not rude enough to cover all of it. The trade market covers the rest. Gavin has made 17 deals, won 5, lost 9 and called 3 even, for a net of -2.69. In a league that includes Kent, that does not make him the worst trader in the room, but it does make a Gavin trade offer look like an opportunity to everyone else.

The league records still do not list a team name for him. Through week 4, that may be his sharpest roster decision.

Ryan Finally Gets One Right, Alex Gets Run Over

Ryan scored 205.67 points, the high score of the week, and beat Alex by 57.96, the blowout of the week. For an owner whose career record is 62-73, whose trophy case holds no titles and no runner-up finishes, and whose playoff years are 2016 and 2025, this was a week to frame. He climbed from 5th to 3rd and is on a W2 streak, which by his standards is a dynasty.

Alex deserves some sympathy and will not get any here. He scored 147.71, enough to win the Jake and Ben game going away, and still lost by the biggest margin in the league. He fell from 4th to 7th. This is the same Alex who has won 14 trades and lost 4, with a career net of 12.77, the best in the league by a wide margin. He has spent years fleecing this league, and this week the schedule fleeced him back. Ryan will take it, and frame it.

Nolan's Winning Formula: Let Everyone Score

Nolan beat Kyle 165.04 to 159.65, a 5.39-point win that pushed him from 8th to 6th and extended his streak to W3. He is 3-1. He has also allowed 660.75 points, the most in the league, and scored 555.69, less than winless Gavin. If Gavin is looking for his missing wins, Nolan should be the first person questioned. Nolan has his 2024 title and, this season, a very friendly schedule.

Kyle slid from 2nd to 5th on a loss that close, which feels harsh for an owner still looking for his first title. His shelf holds a 2018 runner-up and a 2020 points crown, plus a 2017 last place he would like to return.

Bo beat Sirac 166.23 to 146.82 and rose from 6th to 4th. Bo finished last in 2021 and 2022, so 3-1 must feel like someone else's season. Sirac, now 0-4, has made 1 trade in his career and won it, which makes him the league's only unbeaten trader and also one of its winless teams.

Former Roast Targets, Out on Parole

Kent beat Evan 170.77 to 156.59 and moved from 3rd to 2nd. Kent has made 51 trades with a net of -15.86, so his best move of the week was making none. Evan, owner of the best career luck in the league at 9.73, has dropped to 8th on an L2 streak. That 2025 last-place finish was apparently the luck sending an invoice.

Ben beat Jake 125.51 to 101.78 to reach 1-3. Ben has runner-up finishes in 2016, 2017 and 2019 and no titles, so winning the lowest-scoring game of the week is right in his range. Jake's 101.78 was the low score of the week, and his 417.88 points on the season are the fewest in the league. He won titles in 2018 and 2019. Those years remain on file.

At the top sits Noah, with 727.67 points, the most in the league. Noah is 4-0. Gavin is 0-4. They played the same game this week, finished 4.44 points apart, and the standings printed it like a typo.

Game of the week

NOANoah160.77, winner
GAVGavin156.33

Noah 160.77, Gavin 156.33, a 4.44-point margin and the closest game of the week. Gavin played the defending champion even and walked away 0-4 for his trouble. Noah, who won titles in 2023 and 2025 and was points king in 2017, 2022, 2023 and 2024, is now the only unbeaten team in the league. His career luck sits at -5.86, so call this one overdue.
